Recently refurbished hotel overlooking river, we had an absolutely amazing experience here. The property's location was great, short walk to other wineries and restaurants, and stablished trees/garden. It also was so close to the township. We stayed in a studio villa which was good-sized and stylish.

Friendly staff willing to go out of their way. The tour of the vineyard and winery plus winetasting was a bonus
Decor was a little tired and paint could do with a refresh especially in the bathroom where it was peeling off in places. A selection of tea flavours and a good quality local coffee (eg supreme) would be great too.

Friendly staff, yummy antipasto, scrummy wine, relaxing room with a rural outlook, though not vines as we'd expected.
I have a slight walking disability and poor balance, and the showers while vast had no railing and I fretted over the potential to slip on the tiles.

It's a great spot for exploring the area, with excellent facilities, easy check-in, on-site parking, and the option for a late check-out - highly recommended!

Lovely setting. Very nice room and facilities. Friendly host.
We felt the lack of shower glass and fan/heater in the bathroom made it quite damp and the tiles stayed wet unless we dried them off.

This is our second visit to Margrain Villas. The first visit was many years ago so we knew they were in a good location amongst the vineyards and the accommodation was very nice. They did not disappoint this time. The villa was spacious and had everything we needed for a pleasant restful stay. The staff member who took care of us gave us options to try for a meal and we enjoyed a very good dinner at a local restaurant. We recommend Margrain to all travellers to Martinborough.
